The Minto Pyramid Principle, by ex-McKinsey consultant Barbara Minto, is the foundation of all persuasive presentations.

When I started at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), the Pyramid Principle was one of the first lessons in new consultant training.

Structured and logical communication is extremely important to make a complicated message easier to understand, comprehend, and agree with.  The most nuanced your message is, the more important a communication strategy involving the pyramid principle is.

When working with data, other presentation guidance simply falls flat compared to the pyramid principle.  No other method is able to ensure relevant information is covered the way Minto’s Pyramid Principle does.
